Wine Tour Ismayilli

Ismailli – is one of the most beautiful and picturesque areas of Azerbaijan, where nature is bountiful in the mountain rivers and waterfalls, majestic cliffs and lakes with pure water, huge forests and spacious pastures. Ismailli is located at the foot of the southern slope of the Greater Caucasus, just on the route of the famous Silk road, and is known from II century BC. It has a rich history that dates back to the stone age. There are huge quantities of artifacts, objects and cultural remains of fortresses, religious and defensive constructions of historical value dating back to the IV century BC that are being detected during excavations.

Frequent historical changes of the events and rulers, the resettlements of ethnic groups led to the diverse ethnic composition of the region, therefore, the territory is inhabited by molokans, Meskhetianturks, tats, haputy, kryzs, etc. For example, famous Ivanovka village is populated by the descendants of the molokans, resettled here from Russia in the XIX century, and it has retained its distinctive culture and traditions, as well as its unique religion. Residents of Ivanovka produce organic dairy products, famous throughout country.

Chabiant winery is located at the scenery of Ismailli Region, right at the Southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus at the 750m altitude.
